HiveMQ Platform Operator for Kubernetes 1.6.2 Maintenance Release

The HiveMQ Team is pleased to announce the availability of HiveMQ Platform Operator for Kubernetes 1.6.2. This maintenance release for the 1.6 series provides useful bug fixes and usability enhancements.

HiveMQ Platform Operator for Kubernetes Helm Charts

• Added the ability to configure custom labels and annotations for HiveMQ Platform Operator pods and services.
• Added configuration options for Prometheus ServiceMonitor and Grafana dashboards to facilitate monitoring.
• Added configuration options for HiveMQ overload protection and cluster replication count.
• Added the option to configure the externalTrafficPolicy for Kubernetes Services in the services section of the HiveMQ Platform Helm chart.

HiveMQ Platform Operator for Kubernetes

• Corrected a formatting issue that could cause the log level and timestamp to print twice in a single HiveMQ Platform Operator log entry.
• Improved the mutating webhook endpoint to validate submitted HiveMQ Platform custom resources.
• Fixed an issue that could result in continuous rolling restarts of the HiveMQ Platform when Kubernetes environment variables are set with empty values.
• Fixed an issue that unnecessarily updated the operator-managed RoleBinding for the pod Service account on every reconciliation.

HiveMQ Swarm Helm Chart

• Adjusted the HiveMQ Swarm Helm chart to ensure ServiceMonitor resources can be easily discovered by Prometheus.
